Use AI to draft a marketing report narrative only after you have fixed the dataset, metric definitions and comparison period. Verify every decision-bearing sentence against that evidence before sharing it. For Egyptian marketing teams, fluent Arabic or English is a presentation quality; it is not proof that the analysis is correct.
Establish a controlled reporting input
Create an approved reporting table with the period, time zone, currency, source, metric definition and extraction time. Separate observed values from calculated fields. Keep missing values distinct from zero, and identify incomplete periods. Supply aggregated information appropriate to the task rather than unnecessary customer-level details.
Keep an unchanged copy of the input used for each narrative. If a source refreshes while someone reviews the draft, the reviewer needs to know which version produced the statement. Record any exclusions and reconciliations alongside the data instead of expecting a model to infer them from column names.
Use a capability you can inspect
Google documents Gemini’s data-analysis capabilities in Sheets, with access depending on an eligible plan. Check the feature in the account and language you intend to use; this article does not assume access or recommend buying a subscription. A controlled workflow can begin with the tools your organization already approves.
Google’s source guidance also warns that cited responses can still be wrong. Selecting a source helps define context, but it does not validate the conclusion. Treat generated explanations as drafts that need a named reviewer, not as automatic instructions to alter budgets.
Ask for a claim register before a polished summary
Request each observation separately, with its metric, period, source range and calculation. Ask the model to mark unsupported explanations as unknown and separate observations from proposed investigations. Do not ask it to fill missing values, invent a campaign cause or infer an unstated target.
Require the draft to distinguish percentage changes from percentage-point differences. Ask it to preserve currency labels and the direction of the comparison. These are verification requirements for your workflow, not guarantees that a prompt will prevent errors. Perform calculations independently using the approved table and explicit formulas.
Review numbers, scope and causal language
Check every number against the source, then inspect the surrounding sentence. A numerically correct total can still describe the wrong audience, campaign or period. Verify denominators, filters and whether a reported rate was calculated from totals or averaged from separate rows. Resolve discrepancies before interpreting them.
Remove causal statements that the evidence cannot establish. A change in spend and a change in leads during the same period do not, by themselves, explain each other. Keep campaign edits, sales delays and tracking interruptions as documented context. State which additional investigation would support a stronger explanation.
Approve both languages and retain the evidence
Review Arabic and English against the same claim register. Preserve qualifiers such as incomplete, estimated and pending review. Check that a recommendation has not become a confirmed finding during translation. Assign the business owner to approve proposed actions separately from the analyst’s approval of the numbers.
Measure this process with a review log: unsupported claims removed, numerical corrections, scope corrections and unresolved source questions. Use those observations to improve the input and review instructions; do not claim time savings without measuring them. Archive the input version, generated draft, corrected narrative and approval together so the next report can be audited.
