Marketing Analytics & Attribution

Build a shared view of what marketing is doing—and what the evidence cannot yet explain. Connect tracking, reporting and business definitions before making decisions from a dashboard.

The starting point

Solve the right problem first

Different platforms can count the same journey differently. Without agreed event definitions, source conventions and outcome checks, a dashboard may create confidence without clarity. Kitely connects analytics work to the decision it should support: campaign selection, conversion improvement or lead-quality review. The goal is usable evidence, not a bigger collection of charts.

When this service is a useful fit

  • Teams disagree on what counts as a conversion or qualified lead.
  • Campaign reports do not connect clearly to verified business outcomes.
  • You need to check tracking before relying on performance comparisons.

From brief to delivery

What the work can include

A practical scope to agree around your priority, available evidence and team responsibilities.

01

Measurement plan

Define the business questions, events, metric owners and data sources. Establish which indicators are observed directly and which rely on modeling, attribution rules or incomplete integrations.

02

Tracking quality review

Check the agreed conversion journeys, event behavior and reporting destinations. Document missing or duplicate signals and the circumstances of testing so a tracking correction is not mistaken for a sudden business improvement.

03

Reporting structure

Organize the dashboard around decisions rather than every available metric. Provide context for cost, conversion and quality, with definitions that allow marketing and commercial stakeholders to read the same report consistently.

04

Attribution interpretation

Explain what a source report can and cannot establish. Compare platform and business records where feasible, and keep claims about causality separate from the attribution model’s allocation of credit.

A clear sequence. Shared ownership.

  1. Step 1

List the decisions and business definitions

  2. Step 2

Map events, sources and access requirements

  3. Step 3

Check the agreed journeys and reporting logic

  4. Step 4

Document limitations and establish a review cadence

How to evaluate the work

Evaluate whether metrics are consistently defined, conversion journeys have been checked and stakeholders can use the readout to make a decision. Coverage gaps, duplicate events and differences between platform totals and verified outcomes should remain visible. A change in reporting accuracy is not automatically a change in commercial performance.

Scope & important boundaries

Technical consent functionality is not proof of legal compliance. Legal interpretation is outside this scope. Customer-data handling, access permissions and implementation responsibility must be agreed; custom engineering or CRM integration may require a separate workstream.

Before the brief

Questions worth answering

Is attribution the same as proving incremental growth?

No. Attribution assigns credit according to a model. Incrementality asks what would have happened without the activity. The appropriate evaluation method depends on the decision, data and ability to run a meaningful test.

Do we need a new dashboard?

Not necessarily. Start with the decisions your current reports fail to support. Improving definitions or tracking may be more useful than changing the visualization tool.

Can we report performance when tracking is incomplete?

Report what is known and explicitly state the gaps. Avoid treating partial counts as complete outcomes, and prioritize corrections according to the business decisions affected.
