Advertising decisions should use a confirmed view of what a store can sell and fulfil. Egyptian ecommerce teams need a clear handoff between inventory operations, product-page owners, and paid-media managers. A product still appearing in an advertisement is not evidence that its selected variant can be ordered or delivered under the published conditions.
Establish the source of availability
Identify the system or accountable person that determines sellable stock. Separate physical stock from stock already committed to orders or otherwise unavailable for sale. Ask operations to define the status used by the storefront and the point at which marketing should act. Do not let a manually maintained campaign spreadsheet become an unofficial inventory source without an agreed reconciliation process.
Map the product identifier and variant identifier across the stock record, storefront, and advertising destination. Review bundles separately: availability must reflect the actual components and the store’s fulfilment rules. Keep the operational definition explicit so marketing does not interpret a parent product’s availability as proof that every option is ready to sell.
Keep the customer-facing promise consistent
Google Merchant Center’s availability guidance requires availability data to match the website. For stores using Merchant Center, verify the applicable specification against the submitted offer and its destination. This is a product-data requirement, not a claim that every advertising format is available to every Egyptian merchant.
Review the selected variant, purchase controls, availability message, and delivery information on the actual landing page. Check both Arabic and English where both are offered. A translated label should not change whether the store is accepting orders. Do not publish an expected replenishment date unless operations has approved it and the business can support the corresponding commitment.
Define the handoff when stock changes
Agree which status changes require a marketing notification and who sends it. The record should identify the product, affected variants, effective time, verified status, affected destinations, and responsible owner. Include the action requested and the evidence needed before activity resumes.
Distinguish a stock correction from a campaign strategy change. The media manager should confirm what action was actually completed in the relevant platform and report any limitations. Do not assume updating one product field instantly updates every advertisement, cached page, or connected system. Verify the surfaces that matter to the live buying journey.
Handle alternatives without misleading buyers
If the advertised item cannot be purchased, do not quietly substitute a different product behind the same promise. Review whether the advertisement, landing page, and offer should be revised together. Any alternative should be presented transparently with its own accurate details rather than inheriting claims from the unavailable item.
Keep replenishment communication separate from an immediate-purchase promise. If the business accepts advance orders, use its actual approved process and clearly supported conditions. Do not relabel unavailable stock merely to keep a campaign running. Where the team cannot confirm fulfilment, resolve that operational uncertainty before expanding paid exposure.
Verify before resuming and review afterward
Before restarting affected activity, confirm the stock status, selected variant, page behavior, order acceptance, and relevant platform state. Have the responsible owners acknowledge completion. Record the time of verification because availability can change after an earlier check.
Review incidents using actual evidence: mismatched availability, customer enquiries about missing items, failed order attempts, and the time between notification and confirmed action. Keep causes separate from outcomes. The goal is a repeatable operational handoff that aligns what the advertisement promises with what the store can accept, not an unsupported promise of higher return on advertising spend.
