Video Export and Handoff QA for Egyptian Marketing Teams

Approve the actual exported video, not just the editing timeline: check destination settings, Arabic captions, sound, rights and release-version ownership.

Approve the delivered file

For an Egyptian marketing team, video handoff is complete when the actual export has passed review for its destination and language. Approval of the editing timeline does not establish that the delivered file has the correct captions, sound, crop or ending. Treat export quality assurance as a release step with a named owner and a retained approval record.

YouTube's recommended upload settings include MP4 and H.264 guidance and recommend keeping the uploaded frame rate consistent with the recorded material. These are YouTube recommendations. Do not apply them as universal specifications for Meta, TikTok or every placement; verify the current requirements of the actual destination before exporting.

Write a destination-specific delivery brief

Record the intended platform and placement, orientation, source material, language version and publication owner. Specify whether captions are embedded, delivered separately or both, and who checks their final appearance. Include the required clean master and editable project handoff only where those deliverables are part of the agreed scope.

Keep filenames meaningful: content identifier, language, destination and revision. Avoid relying on a folder full of files called final. The naming convention should let the publisher distinguish an approved release from a review copy without opening every file. Record where the approved export is stored and who can replace it.

Watch the export from beginning to end

Check the first frame, transitions, subtitle timing, visible text, sound and final call to action in the delivered file. Review on the device context relevant to the audience as well as the editing display. Listen for intelligibility and unexpected changes in sound level. Inspect movement for export defects rather than assuming the timeline preview represents the encoded output.

For Arabic, check connected letters, reading direction, line breaks and the relationship between captions and the spoken meaning. Review brand names and technical terms carefully. English captions need their own proofreading; a correct Arabic version does not certify the English export. Where both languages appear together, verify that neither obstructs the important visual information.

Protect meaning when adapting formats

A crop can remove the detail that makes a demonstration understandable. A shorter version can remove a qualification that limits a claim. Ask the reviewer to confirm that each adaptation still delivers the approved message and an appropriate next step. Do not treat format adaptation as merely changing dimensions.

Use the product-video shot-list guide when an issue comes from missing source footage rather than export settings. Return the problem to the correct production stage. Repeated re-encoding cannot restore a missing demonstration, an unreadable original screen or an unrecorded explanation.

Check rights and publication details

Keep evidence of permitted use for music, footage, photographs and other third-party material with the delivery record. Confirm that any necessary appearance or client-use permissions are available to the publisher. A file supplied by a collaborator is not automatically cleared for every commercial placement.

Review the title, description, thumbnail and destination link alongside the video. Ensure that the call to action leads to the intended real page and that the language matches the release. Check the uploaded version where the platform provides an appropriate review route before making it public; processing and player presentation can expose issues not visible locally.

Close the handoff with ownership

Record the approved version, reviewer, unresolved limitations and publication status. If the file changes after approval, repeat the affected checks and identify the new revision. Retain the source needed for future corrections without making the publisher guess which project produced the release.
