The strongest output from an expert interview is an article whose important claims can be traced to evidence. Egyptian B2B teams should separate what the interviewee said, what supporting records establish, and what the editor concludes. That separation makes the content easier to review and prevents an articulate opinion from becoming an unsupported business fact.
Begin with the buyer’s unresolved question
Choose the purchasing or implementation decision the article will help readers make. Give the interviewee that question and ask for the material they are authorized to discuss. Do not build the session around extracting praise for the company. A useful interview explains decision criteria, constraints, and the reasoning behind a method.
Agree recording and publication permissions before collecting material. Identify which information can be quoted, paraphrased, anonymized, or withheld. Keep confidential client information out of the publication workflow unless appropriate authorization exists. A statement made in a conversation is not automatically permission to publish the speaker’s identity or a customer’s results.
Preserve observation before interpretation
The GOV.UK guidance on research analysis distinguishes recorded observations from the findings drawn from them. Apply that distinction to the editorial record: capture the actual statement and its location before drafting the meaning you believe it carries.
Use a claim register with fields for the statement, recording timestamp or note reference, claim type, corroborating source, publication permission, and unresolved question. Keep this register separate from polished prose. It should remain possible to trace a sentence back to the approved material even after the article has been shortened or translated.
Classify what can be published
A description of the expert’s own process may be presented as that person’s method when accurately attributed and approved. A statement about a platform capability needs current platform documentation. A numerical result requires the underlying measurement, scope, period, and permission to disclose it. An industry-wide claim needs evidence beyond one person’s experience.
If evidence is missing, ask a focused follow-up or omit the claim. Do not repair a gap with a plausible statistic or a fictional customer story. Preserve uncertainty where it changes the reader’s decision. An explicit limitation can make an article more useful than a confident statement that cannot survive review.
Draft around decisions rather than transcript order
Lead with the answer the buyer needs, then explain prerequisites, choices, and practical steps. Remove conversational repetition without changing the force of a statement. Preserve qualifications that affect meaning. Separate direct quotations from paraphrases, and have the speaker review the intended attribution where required by the agreed process.
For Egyptian business readers, clarify locally used terms and unexplained English abbreviations. Where the interview took place in Arabic and the article also appears in English, review the translation against the approved meaning. Do not convert a cautious recommendation into an absolute instruction because it reads more smoothly in another language.
Run a claim-by-claim publication check
Review every material assertion against the register. Confirm that links support the adjacent claim, quotations remain accurate, and permission covers the intended use. Mark editorial interpretation clearly when it is a synthesis rather than the speaker’s statement. Do not add a named reviewer or credential unless that person actually performed and approved the review.
Keep the approved article, source record, and review decisions together. After publication, use real buyer questions to identify useful follow-ups. Measure whether the article supports the intended sales conversation through observed feedback and relevant outcomes; do not treat interview prestige or article length as proof of commercial value.
